December Release - Please specify how to connect each time a report is opened

Hi,

We recently installed the December release of Power BI Desktop (version 2.88.1385.0).  After the upgrade we started receiving the following error when opening any report that connected to a Power BI dataset where that dataset live connected to an Azure Analysis Services server.

We resolved this by clearing the permissions on the AAS data source then re-validating the credentials.  Since then each time we open one of these reports we're prompted to specify how to connect.

Once we sign-in again the report opens.

Is anyone else having this issue or have a resolution, please?

A collegue resolved this for me.  He suggested:

• Open Power BI Desktop (just the app not a report)
• File -> Options and Settings -> Data Source Settings
• Global Permissions -> Clear All Permissions

Granted this cleared a lot of permissions but resolved the issue and I'm no longer prompted constantly prompted to re-enter / refresh credentials any more.

Please check if some workaround or solutions are suggested on those issues
