First of all, I'm quite new to Power BI and sorry if I'm asking some dumb questions, as I'm not that familiar on what is doable on Power BI.
I'm looking for some ideas/insights on how to create a report that has a table visual showing numeric data in certain way: Because of the vast amount of data being produced, the data has been aggregated to rows containing hourly averages and daily averages. What I would need to have is a filtering option to show data from different time periods: Day, Month, Year. To keep the table readable, following requirements should be met:
1. Day view: Show 24 hour-type rows 2. Month view: Show 28-31 day-type rows, depending on month 3. Year view: Basically just month data averages
Also, it would be nice to have next/previous buttons to jump to next day/month easily, without the need of selecting dates from slicers, but is this possible to achieve in Power BI in some way? I'm a developer and writing code is not a problem (even though I'm not that familiar with Power Query or DAX, yet), but I'm trying to get some understanding on what's possible out-of-the-box and what's not. I've come across some solutions that are made of different visuals for different time periods, but that seems to be kind of brute force way of accomplishing the task and not very scalable.
Thanks for your reply. I actually found an "adequate" solution just by using few different slicers, but I'll definitely take a look into Dynamic Attributes as they would probably provide more flexible solution.
