Dax formula assistance needed (difference)

I want to add measure1 into measure2 formula:

Measure 1 - it pulls number of passers

Total Passers = CALCULATE(DISTINCTCOUNT(EXAMINEES[ID]),

                                  FILTER(EXAMINEES,EXAMINEES[PASS_DATE] <> BLANK()))

measure 2 -- DOES NOT WORK (syntax is not correct)

Difference between passers per year (measure 2) =

SUM ( [Total Passers ])
- CALCULATE (
SUM ([Total Passers] ),
FILTER ( ALLSELECTED ( EXAMINEES ),EXAMINEES[PASS YEAR] = MAX ( EXAMINEES[PASS YEAR] ) - 1 )
)

or May be betterway of writing this.

Hi @jiglow3501,

Considering the Total Passers is a measure you don't need to use the SUM formula to calculate just change your measure 2 to the following:

Difference between passers per year (measure 2) =
[Total Passers ]
- CALCULATE (
[Total Passers],
FILTER (
ALLSELECTED ( EXAMINEES ),
EXAMINEES[PASS YEAR]
= MAX ( EXAMINEES[PASS YEAR] ) - 1
)
)
