Hi everyone,
Please excuse the non-tech lingo as I am not a Power BI expert. I will try to explain what I am trying to acheive the best I can.
What we are trying to do is show the current month's sales, GP and conversion rates and also display the averages from the previous three month "campaign period" and then show the difference in % percentage between the current month (which will need to sum the three months as we move through the campaign period) with the previous campaign period. I want this all in the same visualisation.
I have a table set up for campaign periods, as you can see below the campaign period is quarterly and is set to a text type because if I try to set it as a date type returns an error message.
This works fine when I apply a splicer with the Campaign Range "text" for my sales data (all information pulls from our SQL Server.) It returns the right month and compares it with thre previous three month campaign period.
However when I try to apply it to our conversion rates (which pulls from an API) it pulls in previous years and months into the conversion rate for the current month and is not calculating the previous months conversion rates correctly either.
Can anyone please help me get around this? I do not want it to affect the sales data which is to the best of my knowledge working fine.
Thanks.
Hi,
Share some data and show the expected result.
Please note there is some missing data from the current months as we have some consultants who have not registered on the board yet.
Also I need to use the campaign splicer as it is referenced in measured to calculate the differences.
Hi,
I do not understand your result. Share the link from where i can download your PBI file and more importantly show your expected result there.
Unfortunately I can't share the file sorry as it contains sensitive company information.
I really appreciated your help though is there something else I can provide to you to help you understand?
