Date formatting dd-mmm-yyyy

Hi, I see aa bunch of posts here that say to format a date in the above format i need to use the following script:

Column = FORMAT('Incident Flash report'[DateOfIncident],"dd-mmm-yyyy")
 
I added a column with that script , but it still shows the old format:

What am I missing here?

Check the data type of this column. If it is text, it must be displayed in that format. If your date, change it to text

Ack! Don't do that, that changes it to text, just use a custom date format here:

 

For some reason, screen shot is not showing up. I attached it.
