Date format error

Date in my table looks like below in text format. When I covert to date type i get an error "dataformat.error we couldn't parse the input provided as a date value". Kindly help.

The data you provided can work  well on my side.

Please double check your original data to make sure there are no extra spaces in the table.

I suspect the dates themselves are ok however some other values in the column are causing issues.

 

  • In power query try running clean and trim on the column.
  • Scan down list of values and make sure nothing is out of place eg no "Not Applocable"

What is your datasource? Because when I paste this date and convert this, I don't see any isssue.

If possible, please share your pbix file without your PII data.
