Date Slicer Multiple Tables

Hello,

I am pulling information from two tables and I'm unable to have the date slicer effect both tables.  One table is for the the cost information regarding a final product. The second table as the cost information for all the separate components of the product.  The two tables are already connected by the material number (final product ID).  I want to be able to search by product and select when the costing information is from to see both the final product cost and all component costs.  Is there a work around so I can I have the tables connected by ID and date?  Any help is greatly appreciated!
