I have an issue which I cannot resolve where the date ordering on my x-axis is like:
01-Oct, 02-Sep, 03 Sep, 04 Sep.....30-Sep
Its a 30 days rolling chart. I have a date dimension table and the order in that table looks correct.
What am I missing here?

hi @jp2020
for your case, you need to use sort by column in power bi, see more detail as below:
https://radacad.com/sort-by-column-in-power-bi
and I think you could just set sort by column with 'Date' column as below:
here is my simple sample pbix file, please try it.
if you still have the problem, please share your sample pbix file. that will be a great jelp.

Lin

@jp2020 , Create a sort column like this and mark that as the sort column
Sort COl = format([Date], "MMDD")
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-sort-by-column
Thank you. I added that to the date demsion and ordered thay column but my visual is still not ordering as I expect.
If I drag that column into my visual then it does order fine but the display of the x-axis is 0903,0904....1001 etc which isnt what I want to see. I still want to see 02-Sep, 03-Sep etc.
