Date Hierarchy as filter

Hi All,

Generally we will get date hierarchy as Year,Quarter,Month and Day. Is it possible to have these 4 values in filters under date column so that if i select "Day' then it need to show data on daily basis and when i select "Month" then it will be showing data on monthly basis.

We can do this with the help of button using bookmark but i would like to have these 4 values in a slicer i.e., filters.

Do you want to change the column in table visual based on the value you selected in another slicer?  Or expand columns?

Can we do it without duplicating the record or without creating the bridge table?

Hi @Anonymous ,

The date hierarchy that is created on PBI is a virtual one and does not result from different columns in the database but from the date columns.

For having this type of slicer (Day, Month,Quarter, Year) you need to create a disconected table on your model and then make your measure to work uppon this nem table.
