The current date filter in Power Bi lets you either select a range of dates OR a relative date range with respect to an Anchor date.
Our requirements need the date filter to allow select a date range which has the UI of a relative date range (such as last 3 months) but also lets the user selects the anchor date. For example: say the user wants to see sales 2 months prior to Memorial day.
I have even tried having two date filters (one being a range and another a relative date filter) but unfortunately Power BI does not allow cross-filtering for filters. Has anyone found a good way to deal with this?
Hi cyclist007,
"Our requirements need the date filter to allow select a date range which has the UI of a relative date range (such as last 3 months) but also lets the user selects the anchor date"
<--- Could you share some sample data and clarify more details about your requirement?

Here is an example:
Generally a user wants to see analyse Sales data for say last 1 week/month, etc.
But there are certain cases where users would want to see Sales for say 1 week/month before July 4th ... right now the user would have to be given the default filter where start date and end date has to be selected.
But just like the developer can set an anchor date, is it possible to have adate filter in which the end-user can also select the anchor date or can the anchor date become a dynamic field (such that it can be derived from another input/calculated field)?
Hi cyclist007,
What does anchor date mean? Could you share some sample data?
