Date Field Binning In Power BI

Hi Experts

Please help me. I have a date field as "SoldDate" . I want to create Bins in power BI like amount sold in 1-30days, 1-60days, 1-90days.

Please help me, how to create these bins/groups.

When i right click on date field, it does not give any option to "Create Groups" .

Thanks.

Hi

"When i right click on date field, it does not give any option to "Create Groups"",

Which desktop version and what kind of data source do you use?

I test with data imported from excel using the version: 2.56.5023.1021 64-bit (March 2018) ,everything works well.

Currently, it's not supported to make changes on dataset when opening live connection to SSAS. So if you are in this case, you can't add groups.

“create Bins in power BI like amount sold in 1-30days, 1-60days, 1-90days”,

I try to create bins but can’t satisfy the goal, so I use three groups instead.

for example, i have 9 dates and i want to see amount sold in 1-3 days, 1-6 days, 1-9 days, so i add 1-3 days to group1, 1-6 days to group2, 1-9 days to group3. if you don't know how to create groups/bins, please refer to this article.
