Date Diff negative hours problems

Hello, colleagues, I ask you, I have to calculate the number of hours between, start time and end time and when power bi meets this example

start time end time number of hours consumed

11.30 pm 12.00 am -23

He solves it by giving me a negative -23 instead of 0.5 hours

I have the problem with that schedule, the rest works fine

I appreciate your help

Juan Cruz

Hi @JuanCruz

A day runs from 12:00AM to 11:59 PM.

You need to explicitly state the date for this to work as you expect.  Without any date component, PBI takes the date for these times to be 30 Dec 1899 and 12.00AM to be midnight at the start of that day, not the next midnight that comes after 11.30pm.

Regards

Phil
