In powerBI, if you have an .xlsx file that has the date column in the form:
dd/mm/yyyy and if you use power BI to convert this field to a date, it will work unless dd and mm are <= 12.
For instance, If you have 02/12/2014 in your excel sheet. PowerBi will convert this to February 12, 2014 which is incorrect it should be December 2, 2014.

Check your file regional settings on options Regional Settings if they are matching with your computer.
One way to overcome this is to delete the Changed type step on your query and then create a column by example write the date in the correct order and then format as date.
