Dataset clean up

Hi all PBI users,

I know that we have vertipaq, power bi helper and some other tools to clean up the dataset (by finding unused columns and measures, ...).

However, if the report is built with data from PBI dataset, can we see which measures and columns are not used in the reports?

Thanks!

Danning

@danning1234 , if you are using powerbi dataset, then most of the measure and columns are not owned by the new file, so no benefit of running on the file in use.  This one complex as what you get here need to be cleaned up in original file

@danning1234 using Power BI dataset is a live connection and your file that is using live dataset doesn't contain anything except visuals and any other measures you develop in this new pbix file. With lineage view, you can see what other reports are dependent on Power Bi dataset but I'm not aware of any way that will show you a list of measures/columns that are not used on the Power BI dataset.
