Dataset Settings: Gateway Connection and Scheduled Refresh Locked

Hello All,

Summary: looking to turn scheduled refreshes back on without using a Gateway.

Having trouble getting regularly scheduled refreshes back live for critical organizational dataset. This started to occur yesterday after downloading the September Power BI software update, though I am not sure if this is the cause of this error.

To start - all of my data sources stem either from Salesforce reports and Excel files saved in organization's Onedrive location (neither require gateways/nor gave me trouble in the past). Furthermore, I just checked my data source settings, all of my permissions are square, as well.

This leads to my stopping point:

I reached this point, yesterday, and elected to try installing a gateway, as this was seemingly the only route I could take. (Again, all data sources are connected via cloud so not sure why this changed). Though, the gateway requires my computer to be on, which will not work for my refresh schedule/my business' needs. Thus, I am seeking an alternative route, stuck at point where I can't turn on scheduled refreshes without downloading a new gateway, which again will not work. I haven't had trouble in the past with refreshes, though suddenly after updating I've reached a blocker. Manually refreshing/publishing in the meantime. Any help/suggestions with this would be sincerely appreciated!!

Hi @jwarklite ,

I checked my refresh of OneDrive, it is normal. I have seen this problem before. At last, I uninstalled the gateway and then re-installed it. You can try this solution.

At the same time, you could check the dataset one more time to make sure it is not a mixed dataset(on-premise and cloud).
