Hi!
New user here. I am following along a training where I tried to load data from this Wikipedia page: List of countries by GDP (PPP) per capita - Wikipedia
However, I receive this error message: DataSource.Error - We were unable to retrieve the contents of the web page
Not sure what might be wrong here. Maybe some of my settings?

Hi @heretolearn ,
I have a test to connect to the link by web connection to get a table.
Select Anonymous in Authentication:
I can connect to the web successfully and I think the table you need is "GDP per capita... or territory". We just need to select it and transform the data in Power Query Editor.
Please clear permission to remove the credential before in Data Source setting and try again.
For reference: Connect to webpages from Power BI Desktop
Or you can download the latest desktop version and try again.
You can also refer to this offical blog to troubleshoot the web connector.
Best Regards,
Rico Zhou

Hello.
I have the same problem. I have already installed the latest version of PBI Desktop, requested a bypass to the proxy configured by IT and have access from the browser to the site in question, but the problem persists. Did they manage to solve it? Another user in the company can seamlessly access site content from PBI Desktop
