Data transformation question

Hello Everyone,

I'm tring to load an Excel workboook and all columns except one loads with no problem. The last 2 columns both have the same custome Excel format "m/d/yyyy h:mm:ss AM/PM". Power BI automatically recognises the 1st of these columns as a date/time data type and transforms OK. The 2nd column gets an error for any date that is greater than the 12th of the month. It's as though Power BI is looking at this data in dd/mm/yyyy format even though the Excel format is the same as the 1st column.

Changing the locale makes no difference

Any ideas what is going on?

According to your descriptions above, I have tested it on my environment, but I cannot reproduce the issue.

Could you post some sample data which can reproduce the issue as suggested by Vvelarde?

I've tried it again today and I was incorrect when I said the 1st date/time column transformed OK. It didn't transform any date where the day was greater than 12 (those dates were 500+ rows down the file)

My locale was set to English (United Kingdom) as is the OS. When I change Power BI locale to English(United States) the data transforms correctly - and displays in DD/MM/YY format.

 This post can be considered resolved. It seems my locale setting that caused the bad transformation
