Data rules in Scatter Chart when x-axis is Month

Hi,

I have a scatter chart where the x-axis is Month Number and y-axis is Number of Days an invoice is paid. I added Invoice No to Details, but get an error indicating that I need a summarization for x and y axis. I cannot summarize my x-axis which is Month Number. I would like to be able to add rulest to data colors, but currently I am unable to do this until I can populate the Details field with the Invoice No.

Any ideas how I can get around this?

Thank you!

Hi @NatK ,

It's better to share some sample data.

Instead of a scatter plot use a line chart and hide the lines (only show the markers)

I tried this approach, but all of the markers for invoice # did not appear in the line chart, only a small subset.

you probably see the "i"  warning on your visual.  You have too many data points. Show less data or use a different visual.
