Data refresh

For my client, i have created a dashboard on Power Bi desktop for which the data source is an excel file uploaded on client's sharepoint site. Whenever someone makes changes to the excel file on SharePoint, i am able to see the updated dashboard by clicking on refresh, which is great. I will be rolled from my project and have to handover the dashboard to my client counterpart.
Now my question is - If I share pbix file with my client via email, will the refresh function work for him in case changes are made to the excel on SharePoint.

Thanks
Amish

Credentials for data sources are stored within the data connection so it should work. Worse case, your client would need to update the credentials.
