Hello all,
Fairly new to Power BI Desktop - Hoping for your assistance here.
I have two tables (and I need to).
Table 1
Amount1 (number)
Date (Date)
Table 2
Amount2 (number)
DateFrom(Date)
Now... Table 2 is controlled by my customer. The idea is that they can control the content of the dashboard by changing the values in table 2. Contents in table 1 are change by my customers customers.
I need to create a maintenance free column or measure that show the following:
Total Amount1 where Date > DateFrom (meaning that this query will add all the values of Amount 1 together if the Date of that value is higher than the date (DateFrom) set in table 2).
Does it make sense?
How would I go about this?
Best regards
Michael
Solved! Go to Solution.
In this scenario, you just need to filter the Table1 context where Date > DateFrom in CALCULATE() function.
I assume you have table1 like:
Then create a measure in Table2:
Measure = CALCULATE(SUM(Table1[Amount1]),FILTER(Table1,Table1[Date]>MAX(Table2[DateFrom])))
