Data not updating

Hi everyone!

I have a problem with Power BI not importing new values from databases. All data is stored on our on premises server. I tried "update data" in table view, "refresh" in power query and general "refresh" from main Power BI ribbon. It's not the first time when I came across this issue. Last time, I had to make report again.
Do you have any idea what's going on?

Kind regards,

Dan

@Anonymous - Tough to say given the provided information. What is the data source? Can you post the Power Query Advanced Editor code? Lots of questions.

Ther's the code:

let
    Source = Excel.Workbook(File.Contents("S:\Compliance\PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT\Conversions\Conversions 2017-2020 (Daniel).xlsx"), null, true),
    Sheet1_Sheet = Source{[Item="Sheet1",Kind="Sheet"]}[Data],
    #"Promoted Headers" = Table.PromoteHeaders(Sheet1_Sheet, [PromoteAllScalars=true]),
    #"Changed Type" = Table.TransformColumnTypes(#"Promoted Headers",{{"Reference", type text}, {"ORE - Converted", type text}, {"ORE (RAW)", type text}, {"Description", type text}, {"Creation Date", type date}}),
    #"Removed Errors" = Table.RemoveRowsWithErrors(#"Changed Type", {"Description"}),
    #"Filtered Rows" = Table.SelectRows(#"Removed Errors", each true),
    #"Removed Blank Rows" = Table.SelectRows(#"Filtered Rows", each not List.IsEmpty(List.RemoveMatchingItems(Record.FieldValues(_), {"", null}))),
    #"Filtered Rows1" = Table.SelectRows(#"Removed Blank Rows", each ([#"ORE - Converted"] <> null and [#"ORE - Converted"] <> "")),
    #"Renamed Columns" = Table.RenameColumns(#"Filtered Rows1",{{"Creation Date", "Conversion Date"}})
in
    #"Renamed Columns"

Hi  @Anonymous ,

Did you get an error after refresh?

Hi, no I don't have any error. Data is very clean this time (and proud of it). I can see data in excel file, but Power BI not updating it. Recently I found same problem in other report as well. This time, PBi didn't update data from july only. Diferent spreadsheets, different folders, same server (it's running fine though).

Hi @Anonymous ,

Go to "Transform data">"data source setting":

Check whether the modified excel has stored in the source kept in desktop:

Sometimes we may save the modified file to another location,thus for desktop, the stored data source would point to the file without any change inside.

Best Regards,
Kelly

Just googled why is my data not updating in my Dashboard, realised after I found this post and read your comment that I was an idiot and it was trying to get data from an old source,  cheers my friend
