Data not showing in data view

I load two excel sheets into PBI but I can only see the data for one of them. The one I cannot se the data for in data view, I can though see all data when editing the query.

I've tried refreshing the data but nothing happens, and it consistently does this when I load the data sheet all over. Anyone who know how to solve this?

Hi again,

I found out that the data is actually there (it is imported), but for some reason when I import it, then in Power BI the first many rows (around 50 or more) are blank rows and then data comes underneith these blank rows though there are no blank rows in excel and certainly not at the top of the excel doc... Do you know anything about that?

Thanks for posting your response. Do you know how not to import the blank rows? I'm filtering out on them now, but would rather them be ignored during loading.

Hi @MalDK,

By my test with the latest version of Power BI Desktop Version: 2.65.5313.701 64-bit (December 2018), I cannot reproduce your scenario.  Please check if you have installed the latest version of Power BI Desktop.

In addition, do you have this issue only for the specific excel sheet or all excel sheet?

If it is convenient, please share the sample data which could reproduce your issue so that I can have a test in my site.

You also could have a test with my test excel sheet which has been attached below to check if you will still have the issue.

Best  Regards,

Cherry

Hi @MalDK,

If I understand your scenario correctly that you cannot see the load data model in data view but you could see it in Query Editor?

Do you have this issue for any data source? Please have a try that if you import a simple table from excel, will you have this issue?

If you only have this issue for specific data source, please let me know and share the sample data which could reproduce the issue so that I can have a test in my site.

In addition, please check if you have installed the latest version of Power BI Desktop(2.64.5285.361 64-bit (November 2018))?

Best  Regards,

Cherry
