Data from One column Shifted to next column

Hi , can someone help me with this.. It shows error where some part of the table has shofted to the next columns.

Here is the screen shot. All the data from "Date modified"column has shifted to "Modified by" column (Second Screen shot)

It only has happened to some part of the table, not the entire table. Will appreciate your help. Thanks!!

Hello,

Has anyone solved this?

We have the same issue at work, and unfortunately we cannot inspect the rows in the CSV, as it has more than 1.1 mil and we cannot see all of them.

Could it be the type of CSV, and the way Excel is set up ? (for UK or USA language- comma delimited UTF8)

The thing is, we have the same steps we apply when extracting the data, and up until now it was working fine with the type of CSV we had. This month however, something got messed up.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous,

In your scenario, you were refreshing the dataset. Right?

Then what have you updated in the source csv file? Since the Date Modified is a Date type column, please verify that in source file all the values under this column are dates. And have you tried to load a new dataset based on this new csv file? Check if the error persists.

Thanks,
Xi Jin.

Thank you for your reply!!

Yes it happpens while refreshing the csv file (the source file). Al  data are correct and the date column is also set as Date type.

On this date column where it shows error, all the dates are corrct but for some portion all the dates have moved to the next column and next column data has moved to the next.. Columns are intact, but the data has shifted to the next columns.

Thanks for the help!!

Hi @Anonymous,

Could you please share us your pbix file and the new csv file with OneDrive or Google Drive if possible? So that I can dig deeper rather than just guessing.

Thanks,
Xi Jin.
