I currently have a dataset that is housed in a SQL database - approx 2.5 Million rows. I can successfully connect and render the desired dashboards as expected.
In the past, many of my dashboards were dependent on flat files, stored on the network, regreshed at the expected intervals using a personal gateway. The drawback to the personal gateway is that my computer needs to be online and signed into the gateway for the scheduled refresh of the data.
I am looking for some detailed direction about how I can coordinate this Refresh, without the need the need for the personal gateway.
Appreciate the insights.
p.s. This is the current configuration.

A Personal/On-premise data gateway is mandotary to refresh from a on-premise SQL Server. If if you'd like not using a gateway, you can migrate your data to Azure SQL database.
