Hi Folks,
I have an issue regarding displaying data labels. In the attached chart image I have used a field -Expenditure- as values and Year on X-axis. I want the data labels to shows the percentage of expenditure in a year rather than showing the absolute value of expenditure. But I want to keep the size of bars in proportion to expenditure exact amount. because as you all can see if I want to display %, then I select show value as a percent which makes all bars add up to 100% thus I am losing information of which year has more expenses than others. Hope I am making sense. Please refer to the image and thank you for taking the time to help me out.
Regards
Sankalp
@Anonymous in this case the option you have is to create a % measure using following expression and you can only use it on the tooltip, you cannot replace data labels
Base Measure = SUM ( Table[Amount] )
% Share = DIVIDE ( [Base Measure], CALCULATE ( [Base Measure], Table[ColumnOnLegend] ) )
