Data Categorization

Time to update the dropdown when posting a new message... it still says Designer.  That is old skool, you mean desktop 🙂

Anyway, what is this "Data Categorization" feature I saw announced?  I want the DEETS!

The Data Categorization feature we're adding is the same as you'll find in Power Pivot today. Deets on that here: http://efficiency365.com/2015/02/27/understanding-data-categories-in-power-pivot/ We won't have all the categories in at GA, or have all the behaviours that reports in Power View exhibited based on the categories, but we'll be adding them over time based on your usage. Thanks!

Based on the GA announcement today, it's my guess that this will soon change (July 24th) to "Power BI Desktop" - which will be the new name for the Designer.
