Where can I find the default JSON files so I can upload it as a dashboard theme??

@Anonymous

you could rename your pbix file to *.zip, open it with winzip/winrar, etc and find theme json file in \Report\StaticResources\SharedResources\BaseThemes folder

@Anonymous  Are you trying to update the out-of-the-box definitions so you can override the color scheme?

No - I was just trying to find the default JSON files so my dashboard scheme would match my report scheme. I can download a new one easily enough from the theme gallery I guess - but I prefer the default themes.

This is what I get when I download the dashboard json.

{"name":"164b886f1389eb980396","foreground":"#000000","background":"#EAEAEA","dataColors":["#01B8AA","#374649","#FD625E","#F2C80F","#5F6B6D","#8AD4EB","#FE9666","#A66999"],"tiles":{"background":"#FFFFFF","color":"#000000"},"visualStyles":{"*":{"*":{"*":[{"color":{"solid":{"color":"#000000"}}}]}}}}

Hope this helps!

I'm assuming you want the Dashboard theme, not the Report theme json.

Hi @Anonymous

try here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-Us/power-bi/desktop-report-themes#custom-report-theme-files-you-can-use-right-now

"Custom report theme files you can use right now" section or big json listing in the bottom of the page
