Dashboard Pointers

Hi All,

Am a newbie to PowerBI...and quite excited with the experiments done in the past two weeks. Would really be great if you could guide me with the below :

1. Is it possible to have pages or tabs in a dashboard? - I have created report with multiple pages . Similarly , Can I have page tabs on dashboard to group my tiles logically across multiple pages..?

2. Have tried 'publish to web'  for reports and got the report attached to browser (iframe/Embedding). How could i get dashboard viwable on browser?...Any additional programming required to achieve this or built-in options are there?

3. Widget on Report has drill-down feature, which works fine...Same widget when clicked from DASHBOARD, opens the report and drill-down can be performed inside the report...Is this correct behaviour..?....Or is it that I should be having a dashboard with drill-down feature without bringing report in between?

4. Am not able to pin a slicer to a dashboard seperately..No 'Pin' option given...I need to pin the page with slicer  first and then add the tiles to it as required is what I do...Is this the correct way to deal with dashboard slicers.?

5. Publishing Report to Web provides pagination option removing the explicit display of page tabs...I prefer to retain page tabs instaed of pagination..Is there a way to achive this?

Thanks in advance for the guidence offered..

@asj,

No. Dashboard do no have pages or tabs. We scroll down to view all dashbaord content.

2. Have tried 'publish to web'  for reports and got the report attached to browser (iframe/Embedding). How could i get dashboard viwable on browser?...Any additional programming required to achieve this or built-in options are there?

We can embed the report to your own web application. However, we cannot publish and embed dashboards.

3. Widget on Report has drill-down feature, which works fine...Same widget when clicked from DASHBOARD, opens the report and drill-down can be performed inside the report...Is this correct behaviour..?....Or is it that I should be having a dashboard with drill-down feature without bringing report in between?
Yes, we need to open the report so that we can use drill down feature.

4. Am not able to pin a slicer to a dashboard seperately..No 'Pin' option given...I need to pin the page with slicer  first and then add the tiles to it as required is what I do...Is this the correct way to deal with dashboard slicers.?

Slicer is used to interact with other visuals, we cannot pin slicer to dashboard to hadboard separately. We can pin live page which contain a slicer to dashboard.

5. Publishing Report to Web provides pagination option removing the explicit display of page tabs...I prefer to retain page tabs instaed of pagination..Is there a way to achive this?
Currently, there is no such a functionally to achieve this. If you have any concern on this feature, you can submit your idea on the link below. If this feature was mentioned by mulitple users, product team will consider to add this feature to next release.
