DAX statement with Dates in Period not yielding correct results

Can someone tell me the error in this DAX?

It does not yield the correct sum of values in the datesinperiod function

TermCnt1YR =

    CALCULATE (

    SUM ( FactTermsActive[TermCnt]),

    FILTER ( FactTermsActive, FactTermsActive[EMPStatus] = "Terminated" ) ,

    FILTER ( FactTermsActive, DATESINPERIOD(FactTermsActive[TerminationDate], Today(),-365,DAY) )    )
