DAX - multiple Month display

Hi Everyone,

 

I have no date column, instead of month like number 1,2,3,...12. when i select month in slicer. i want to show "Jan", "Mar", "Oct" like this.

Random month selection should need.

Thanks for reply, we have huge amount of data, data structure also maintained different formate. to avoid performance issues and pbix file should below 1gb we maintain data like in numerics. 

 

can please provide DAX query on this..

You can  also make a new table with 2 columns

1 Jan

2 Feb

3 Mar

 

And so on and link this as a one to many to your data.

As @Maxim297  said before,you can consider creating a new table and establishing a relationship.
You can also consider using power query to convert connected data.

ADD column 

New column = format("table[column_name]","MMM").

 

Use old column in slicers and new column in table visual.

As per my understanding adding new column will not give performance issue.
