If the number calculated from datediff <0, then use blank, otherwise use datediff. The DAX I wrote below gives me error.
What is the right DAX? Thanks
Solved! Go to Solution.
A DAX expression is not allowed to return values of different types under different conditions.
Replace the " " with BLANK () to make your existing expression work.
Also, a slightly more concise way of achieving the same result is:
ClaimLag>0 = MAX ( BLANK (), DATEDIFF ( EnounterCount[enc_Date_date], EncounterCounr[Final_Bill_date_date], DAY ) )
This returns the DATEDIFF result if it is 0 or more since BLANK() is treated as zero, and MAX ( BLANK(), 0 ) returns 0, and otherwise returns BLANK ().

Owen

for 2 to 7 days. Would you please let me know where I need correct DAX? Thanks
