I have a file with multiple columns such as Employee Number (unique field), Department, Age range, etc. I want to count the number of employees in column like department, age range, location, etc.
I am currently using following DAX
calcDept = Calculate(COUNT(Data[Department]))
But when I try to see the data, it is showing the count of department and not the count of employees. I modified the DAX to
calcDept = Calculate(COUNT(Data[Employee Number]),ALL(Data[Department]))
But this formula is giving me count of entire rows. Can someone help me with a DAX formula to get this done correctly?
Hi @Anonymous

Many Thanks
