DAX Help with Hierarchy

Hi,

I have three tables below in my data model

Model.PNG

For Actual and Forecast table, each activity type can either be operating or capital. I want to show the following result in my matrix:

Sample1.PNG

Since I have two activity type columns on two separate table, I cannot just drag them in. Is it possible to use DAX to achieve the above result in a matrix?

Hi @Anonymous,

  • Create a new table Activity_Dim with the row being each of your Activity types
  • Relationship between that table and the Actual and Forecast Table.

  • Add the Column activity Type to your table to see the final result (I don't have values for the 0 in your table that is why it's null)
