DAX Help - Data Validation comparison of two columns

I am trying to do some data validation in Power BI.  I am strugling to write a DAX statment to follow this logic...

If Column A contains the same value as Column B the True, Else False.

Can someone please help me?

Am i missing something here? Why not the below straight forward one?

IF( table1[ColumnA] = table2[ColumnB],"True","False")
