DAX Fucntion

Hi Folks,

I have a requirement where i have to use DATEDIFF function in Directory Query mode.

I'm getting an error.

Error Message:

Query (1, 1) Function 'DATEDIFF' is not allowed as part of calculated column DAX expressions on DirectQuery models.

Error1.PNG

1. Is there any alternative to use DATADIFF function in Direct Query Mode

2. Is there is way to know which DAX function can be use in Direct Aquery Mode.

3. If not is there is any alternative to achieve it.

Thanks,

Vijay

What are you trying to achive with your dateDiff function.

you cannot use it as  a calculaed colunm because in direct query mode the colunms are static once loaded

you can however use it in a measure.

are you able to rewrite your dax as a measure rather than a colunm
