(DAX) Date format from Salesforce report

Good day.

The data source is Salesforce report. From a column (column Travel Date), I added a new column to show the latest date from Column Travel Date. the DAX is: Latest Travel Date = MAX(temm[Travel Date]).

When the Data Type of the column Travel Date is set to Text. The new column returns: 30/04/2019.

When the Data Type of the column Travel Date is set to Date. The new column returns: 2019-12-04.

But actually the latest date from the column Travel Date is 08 May 2019.

I suspect something wrong with the data format from Salesforce report.

What’s the way to have it correctly shown in Power BI?

Thank you.

Hi @JohnDahis ,

Please check if the date format of [Travel Date] is different in Salesforce report and in Power BI desktop. The change between "MM/dd/yyyy" and "dd/MM/yyyy" might cause the wrong result when dong calculation.

Reference:

Local date formats in Power BI

Date issue - dd/mm/yyyy vs mm/dd/yyyy

@v-yulgu-msft thank you, Yuliana. "Region" setting on local computer might be the root cause of this problem.
