DAX DISTINCTCOUNT WORK SLOWLY

Hi community,

in my dataset i've got 3 tables:

  1. the main table is called DataTable.
  2. the second table is called Model, linked to DataTable contains models code and name
  3. the third table is called Customer, linked to DataTable contains customers code and name.

My problem is with the DistinctCount function by model. The measure is the follow:

Number of Model = DISTINCTCOUNT(Model[ModelCode])

When i try to put the measure in a matrix with the customer name in row, the result of the matrix is very slowly.

Anyone has any suggestions?

Thanks in advannced.

Hi @FilippoV ,

Can you share some snapshots about the relationship?

Usually, the Model table and the DataTable have a 1:n relationship. What's the [Number of Model] for?

If the context is Customer, DISTINCTCOUNT('DataTable'[ModelCode]) is enough?

BTW, what's the size of these tables?
