DA-100 Business Analyst

Hi,

I might be posting this in the wrong group but needed some help regarding the DA-100 exam.

Im currently working as a BA and pursuing my CBAP exam as well which would take another 4 months but in my organization  since im working extensively on PowerBi and Data projects I was planning to take the DA-100 exam.

What I wanted help on is should me as a BA go ahead and do this exam?? will it affect my profile as a BA by taking it to a different direction. I really dont want to be a pure Data guy and im really keen on understanding everything about PBI etc and hence thought of taking this exam as well but at the same time dont wont to derail my career as a BA. Should I go ahead and give this certification? Kindly advice.

In your position taking the Exam is like a nice to have, it won't make a difference.

any certification adds weight to your profile. it prooves that you know the concept and can work on it when time comes.

you should definitively go for it.
