D365 Roles to be applied to Power BI report data

Let say 5 Power BI Reports generated with data Power BI dataset ( which has the source D365 data), Organization wants to provide the business user access according to their D365 role and They should see the data with respect to their data. 

Lets Say Finance department users should see the Finance related data rather than other departments data. How can it be achevied. 

with D365 role integrating with Power BI.

Note:  Not interested to create row level security option

 The situation you describe is what row-level security is designed for...

Without that, I suppose you could create a workspace for each department and only publish that department's data to their workspace, then give that department's users access to the workspace or app.
