Customize apply button in slicer which is provided for query reduction

Hi everyone,

I have a report where i need to use query reduction technique by enabling apply buttons on slicers but I could not find any option to customize them. It is enabled for every slicer in the entire report and there is no way to disable them on individual slicer.

It looks something like above. Can I disable it on any of the slicer where it is not needed? Can I customize these buttons to match the theme colors?

Hi @suhailj93,

Sorry there is currently no option to customize it or turn off the apply button on a single slicer. When you turn off this option in the option, it will cancel the apply button on all slicers.

Hi @suhailj93 ,

You cannot make the selection on slicers with an apply button, one option could be to configure bookmarks that shows the slicers that you need so when you need you will have them usable or not.

What I did in the attach file was to:

  • Create a button to place on top of each slicer
  • Create a bookmark for each of the option on the slicer on/off
  • Selected on the button that is on top of the slicer and made one with button showing and not showing
  • Create a button to clear all

Now you have buttons to turn on and off, if you want the apply then you can place the buttons on/off on top of each other and also hide one and show the other that way people will only see one button.

This is a work around but maybe can be adjust for your needs.
