Custom shape map not linking to data

I have a dataset that has sales figures for regions. I have created a map of those regions and turned the KML file into a JSON file that has one attribute for each territory which is the region number. When I add my custom map it looks exactly how I want it to and the key to the map looks exactly how I want it to. But when I add my region number as the location and my sales figure as the color saturation nothing happens.  I have scoured the internet and read every possible post on this and have tried everything and it simply will not work. I'd really appreciate it if anyone had any ideasscreenshot.png

Hi tbodary, just wondering have you solved this problem and how, I have come acroos the same issue, keen to know the solutions. Thanks.

If I recall correctly I had everything set up to where it looked right but the data types of the fields I was trying to link on were different.

thanks, can you recall which data type did you use for region number? I've been using text-place, it's not working for some reason.

Hi @tbodary,

Could you share a sample pbix file which can reproduce this issue, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading. Smiley Happy
