Custom column in Power Query (M)

Hi all,

I have kind of a funky thing here. I have a report connected to some folders, with Excel files, including the name of the folders and excel files as a column in my query is no issue, however, I also want to create a column that contains the name of the PBIX file I am working in. This needs to be dynamic, i.e creating a column hard coding the name of the PBIX file is not an option because the file will be copied and the name changed depending on the period.

The reaon I need the name of the PBIX file as a column, is so I can match up the PBIX file with the relevant files in my source folders dynamically.

Anyone have any ideas on this?

Thanks!

Best,

Morten

Hi, yes this worked. You can actually refer to the same file you are working in via folder withouth getting any circular argument errors.

Thank you!

Best regards,

Morten
