All,
I tried hard to find a solution but I failed. Let me try to explain what I am tryin to do: I am connecting to a Power BI service as a datasource from Power BI desktop. As far as I understand, there is no way I can adjus0/overwritet the underlying data model in my app. So, I need to base on what I am getting.
Now I would like to customize the filter for visuals, which are not connected in the data model but have common fields.
E.g. I have a table with areas and one with customers referring to the areaID. When I create a slice with the areas, the customer table does not filter (I would assume the underlying data model does some "detour" there). I would now like to filter the table visual containing the customer data to filter based on the selection in the area slicer. Is there a way to solve that?
Thank you
Roger

Hi @roger_ha,
You can't direct filter unrelated table records. In my opinion, I'd like to suggest you write a measure to get selected item from slicer, then compare row contents with selected items.
After these steps, drag it to visual level filters to apply filter on correspond visual.
BTW, live connection will disable most of edit feature so you can't do filter on source data or create filtered calculated table.
