Hello everyone!
I am building reports in BI and coming across an issue.
I am trying to get the report to sort based on month for fiscal year. I created a new table with 2 columns, month and number.
I add a new column in the data table and connect to the date table.
My issue is that once I do this I am losing my date hierarchy completely.

@Anonymous,
So your requirement is too sort the table by month of fiscal year, right? You can create a calculate column to achieve the month value using DAX below:
Month = MONTH ( Table[Fisical Date] )
Then drag original date column, number column and the new Month column into one table visual and sort the Month column.
