I am trying to get the accounting/fiscal month number from one table depending on what today is. Normally I would use a combination of the TODAY() and MONTH() formula but the issue is that our accounting calendar is a Saturdy through Sunday calendar so there are times where you will be in the month of February for the calendar year, but you will be in the accounting/fiscal month of March. Perfect example is that for 2019, our fiscal month of February runs from 2/3/19 - 3/2/19 (see image).
My financial data that I want to report on does not have an actual date, only Accounting/Fiscal Month and Year. I do not want to Merge Queries and add TheDate column from my fiscal calander table because that will overstate my numbers. I need a way to define the current accounting month in my financial data table that only has accounting month and year, but based on my fiscal calander table where the fiscal month is today's date in that table.
Example: if today is 3/2/19, I need the financial data to filter to where the accounting month is 2. Please let me know if I can provide more specifics to help?
