Cumulative Measure starting start of current month until last date of Month context

Hi,

My ambition is to create a measure which:
1. Sums the FTE of new hires who has a hire date until the last day of the month that is chosen in the current context.
2. The cumulation should start at the first date of the current month when considering today's date (so not considering the context). If todays date is 17 September, the cumulation should start 1 September and run up until the last day of the month that is currently selected in the context.

I have managed to do this but only from the first date of my hire data. I have tried to use functions like EOMONTH, or Endofmonth combined with TODAY() but have not made it work.

Thank you very much in advance for the help.
Kind Regards

CUMUHIRE =
VAR LastDatee =
MAX ( DIM_DATE[DateCodeDateType] )
VAR FirstDatee =
MIN(DIM_DATE[DateCodeDateType])
VAR LastDateWithSales =
CALCULATE (
MAX ( R311[Hire Date] ), ALL(R311)
-- Use ALL ( Sales ) if REMOVEFILTERS () and ALL ()
-- are not available
)
VAR Result =
IF (
FirstDatee <= LastDatee,
CALCULATE (
[CALC_Hires+BkC+OffAcc],
DIM_DATE[DateCodeDateType] <= LastDatee
)
)
RETURN
Result

Hi @Rune

Could you provide a sample data model like the one you are dealing with currently? Or you can share your pbix file with me by your OneDrive for Business. And this will make it easier for me to understand your calaculate logic.

Best Regards,

Rico Zhou

@Rune Sorry, having trouble following, can you post sample data as text and expected output?

Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

Also, please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
