Hi @MiguelSaldana77

There are two different types of on-premises data gateways, each for a different scenario.

  • On-premises data gateway: Allows multiple users to connect to multiple on-premises data sources. With a single gateway installation, you can use an on-premises data gateway with all supported services. This gateway is well suited to complex scenarios where multiple people access multiple data sources.

  • On-premises data gateway (personal mode): Allows one user to connect to data sources and can’t be shared with others. An on-premises data gateway (personal mode) can be used only with Power BI. This gateway is well suited to scenarios where you’re the only one who creates reports and you don't need to share any data sources with others.

In your scenario, you can use the first On-premises data gateway. You can install only one on-premises data gateway on a single computer. Usually installing a data gateway is enough for use if the workload is not heavy.

The user installing the gateway will be the admin of the gateway. Then he can manage the gateway to add more admins. See Manage an on-premises data gateway. The admin users can manage data sources on the gateway. They can also manage users of each data source on the gateway. See Add or remove a gateway data source. A user of a data source can use this data source in his report directly and he doesn't need to install a gateway on his own. He doesn't need to be the admin of the gateway either.

So if you want other people to add data sources on the gateway, you can add them as admins of the gateway. If you only want them to use the data sources in their report, you need to add these data sources in advance then add other people as users of relevant data sources.
