I have a sales table with sales data for each retailer in the database. I know there is further granularity we can provide for certain retailers - I want to apportion these sales values to a lower level of granularity, based on the proportion of sales I can attribute to particular sales values
Existing table example:
Retailer | Sales value (Eur) | Date |
Retailer A | 100,000 | 2022 |
I know retailer A can be split out into sub-values based on an apportionment provided by the business:
Retailer A sales are made up of:
Retailer 1 | 10% |
Retailer 2 | 20% |
Retailer 3 | 50% |
Retailer 4 | 20% |
So my desired sales table should look like this:
Retailer | Sales value (Eur) | Date |
Retailer 1 | 10,000 | 2022 |
Retailer 2 | 20,000 | 2022 |
Retailer 3 | 50,000 | 2022 |
Retailer 4 | 20,000 | 2022 |
Can anyone advise on how to achieve this?
I hope you can do that. I am assuming you have first two tables in your pbi.
It's just simple by merging them by retailer column.
After that need to multiply percentage and Sales value.
If it helps please accept this as solution.

Hi @Anonymous ,
Please review the following links and check if they can help you achieve the requirement.
If the above one can't help you get the desired result, please provide more sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. You can refer the following link to upload the file to the community. Thank you.

You would do that in your data model. Join the tables according to your business scenario.
Note: Power BI cannot add rows to an existing table. But that's not really what you are asking for.
