Create column based on Start Index or End Index

Hi All,

 

In power bi can I create column based on start index to end index (or use the dashes to delineate the columns)

 

I think It's possible with Measure Column, but I need to create new column in source.

Hi There,

 

To do that, 

Please follow the below stwps:

 

In the Query Stage,

Go to Transform tab and select the split column as outlined in screen shot.

and then select by the number of characters and it will pop up with a dialog box as outlined in below screen shot.

 

And you are done.
