Create a measure using a Virtual Table

Hello,

I need some help. I'm hopping the community can help me, please.

I'm using this example just to simplify and it's easier to demonstrate my issue.

Please, follow this link to see my problem: https://dax.do/8vxB5uTlepJwgz/

In this case, we have a virtual table with 2 columns (these columns were created in this calculation), but now, I want to use this table to make a measure calculating the average of the column "# Customers".

What I was expeting can do:

DEFINE
VAR AverageCustomerSales =
AVERAGEX ( Customer, [Sales Amount] )
VAR TaggedCustomers =
SUMMARIZECOLUMNS (
Customer[CustomerKey],
"Customer Category",
IF ( [Sales Amount] >= AverageCustomerSales, "Above Average", "Below Average" )
)
VAR Result =
GROUPBY (
TaggedCustomers,
[Customer Category],
"# Customers", COUNTX ( CURRENTGROUP (), 1 )
)
EVALUATE
AVERAGE(Result[# Customers])

Of course, I can't. But is there a way?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @rsaldanha ,

Not very clear, it's better to share some sample data and expected result to us.

Best Regards,

Jay
